Mark Steel's In Town

Fri 6 Jun 7:30pm

Mark Steel is back in town. This time he's coming to Wrexham!

Now in its 14th series on BBC Radio 4, comedian, columnist and author Mark Steel visits six different towns across the UK. He delves into the history, people and idiosyncrasies to try to work out what ingredients combine to make the places distinctive. He then creates a bespoke stand-up show about the town, which he performs in front of a local audience.

It's a celebration of the sort of places in Britain that have their own fascinating stories to tell with inhabitants who are passionate about what their town has to offer. Essentially, it's a best man speech, but about a place.

The show is now in it's 14th series. Previously, Mark has recorded shows in well over 50 interesting and unusual places from Penzance in Cornwall to Kirkwall in Orkney with all stops between including Aberystwyth, Birkenhead, Derry, Boston, Douglas, Hull and Paisley among many many more.

We would love Wrexham locals to attend as it’s your place that we are talking about!

Tickets will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
