Two concerts celebrating the master composer from child prodigy to global megastar.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a megastar of classical music – famous from a young age, innovative and prolific, yet a man whose lavish lifestyle betrayed financial struggles, before his mysterious death aged just 35. His work influenced some of the greatest ever composers and is still influential in popular culture today.

Prodigy takes you on a journey – from one of his earliest pieces written when he was just 10 years old, through music those he was influenced by (including J C Bach and Clara Schumann) before ending with one of his most famous pieces, known for its simplicity and charm, and hear in films such as Amadeus (1984) and The Trueman Show (1998).

About The Artists

Jane Gordon (violin) is one of the leading violinists of her generation. She has performed at Wigmore Hall and throughout Europe, Asia and America. She released her debut album Faure in 2021.
